Media Release

The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPCC) will be explaining their position on Bill C-384, the private members bill that would legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada.

When: December 1, 2009 at 1:30 pm

Where: Charles Lynch ? Room 130s Centre Block - House of Commons

Presenters:

Alex Schadenberg, Executive Director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, a national coalition, since 1999, that works to build an effective social barrier to euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada.

Steven Passmore, a disability rights advocate who was born with cerebral palsy. Steven has experienced many surgical interventions in his life and he will share the common concerns of the disability community.

Mr. Schadenberg will outline how C-384 will actually change our Canadian laws. He will also explain why the concerns of the Quebec College of Physicians actually mislead the public concerning euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada.

Mr. Passmore will explain how C-384 potentially threatens his life and the lives of all vulnerable Canadians.
