What can be done, now that we are in react mode?

First as always begin with prayer and end with prayer. Pray for the courage and the wisdom to address the issue and that our elected representatives will take up their yokes of responsibility and not let the courts legislate. If or when this issue becomes a national direction under the law, that all provinces take up their yoke and bring in the 'notwithstanding clause' to curtail the Supreme Court's action.

We must too, insist that our provincial leaders take up the task and moved to curtail what appears to be a court initiative to interpret the law with their own biases without consulting if this is what the country or province intended. The question is likely to come up, can we invoke 'notwithstanding'? It would seem since it is the Charter that is the lead for these decision that it can be done.

Therefore, we implore you to write, phone, visit and organize within your circle of friends a course of action to let your voices be heard far and wide in the chambers of the House of the Legislative assembly in Halifax.

If your family and your marriage means as much to you as it does to me, you'll take up this responsibility, however reluctant for the future of our children and grand children.

If you are a pastor or a minister that has a license to perform marriages in the province of NS, then you should consider returning your license to make a statement to the government of the day.

Please as Winston Churchill stated during WWII, "Never, Never give up".
