The Climb to Power and Influence by Homosexuals in Canada
Through the Liberal Government

"A cunning and calculated campaign" during the past ten years

By C. Gwendolyn Landolt
National Vice President
REAL Women of Canada

Over the past ten years, Canadians have experienced a revolution in regard to the homosexual issue. This revolution, whereby homosexuals, who, according to the 003 census, consist of approximately one per cent of the population, have acquired enormous power and influence in this country. These new-found rights of homosexuals have priority over other basic rights, such as freedom of religion, speech, belief etc.

This has not been accomplished by the will of the public, but rather by a number of other factors, such as the one-sided promotion of the homosexual issue in the secular media, judicial activism, and the decisions of human rights tribunals. However, even these significant institutions could not have brought about the homosexual revolution by themselves.

The real engine behind the success of the movement was the federal Liberal government, which undertook a cunning and calculated campaign to achieve recognition and rights for homosexuals during the past ten years. It was a long, insidious but successful campaign, achieved step by step, largely accomplished out of view of the Canadian public.

The Liberal Governments Step by Step Campaign to Legitimize Homosexuality in Canada

Prime Minister Trudeau:

The first step in the calculated campaign by the Liberal government actually began long ago, in 1969, by Liberal Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, when he amended the Criminal Code to decriminalize homosexual acts for those 21 years of age and over. In 1987, the Criminal Code was again amended, this time, to lower the age of consent for homosexual acts to 18 years of age.

Mr. Trudeau was famous (infamous) for his statement that theres no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation. He went on to state that Whats done in private between adults doesnt concern the Criminal Code. However, the decriminalizing of homosexual acts for those over 21 years of age had the opposite effect of what he claimed he intended. The decriminalizing of homosexual acts for those 21 years and older, provided state approval, for the first time, for homosexual acts to take place, whether in the bedrooms, bathhouses, or even the parks of this nation.

Since then, a succession of Liberal Ministers of Justice have pulled the strings, privately and publicly, as well as financially, to further the homosexual cause. These actions commenced with Justice Minister Allan Rock (1993 1997); followed by Anne McLellan (1997 2002); Martin Cauchon (2002 2003); and Irwin Cotler (2003 2006).

The support for the homosexual agenda by this succession of Liberal Justice Ministers was carried out with the full approval of both Prime Minister Jean Chretien and Prime Minister Paul Martin.

Christian Horizon Decision of the Ontario Human Rights Commission highlights ongoing confusions and need for strong backbones in response
In this preliminary article (the Centre plans on preparing a LexView on the Tribunal's Reasons for Judgment) Iain Benson points out that attacks on the public role and nature of religion are not new. He suggests that firm responses are called for when groups are threatened by "privatization." Other examples cited in the article, show how firm responses have, in the past, led to proper results through law or administrative action. Part of Politics can be firm stances on the part of threatened organizations.

National Post quotes Centre in article on Religious Faith and Medical Practice
In an excellent article on religious faith in relation to medical practice, one which highlighted a conference held recently in Toronto involving the Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute and at which Iain Benson gave a keynote talk (on the nature of the "secular"), Charles Lewis quotes a variety of groups and individuals including the Centre for Cultural Renewal. We are thankful for the permission to reprint this article for those who may not have seen it when it first ran in the National Post on the Front Page of the Saturday edition April 26, 2008.

4. Obama vs. The Right to Life

BY The Editors

May 18-24, 2008 Issue | Posted 5/13/08 at 10:49 AM

Its important for Americans to know exactly where Barack Obama stands on abortion, because abortion is more than just a "Catholic issue." It's one of the fundamental issues Americans should be most concerned about.

The United States was founded on the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and Americans have spent the past two centuries since trying to live up to those founding principles. First came disagreements over the pursuit of happiness religious and economic liberty. Then, over slavery. Todays big battle is over the most important right: the right to life.

Obamas votes and official positions deny the right to life to three categories of human beings: the unborn, the accidentally born and, at least in one case, the adult unfit. Lets look at each.

/The Unborn/

Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr., understood how the right to life is fundamental. I and my deceased children are victims of abortion, she has said. The /Roe v. Wade/ decision has adversely affected the lives of my entire family. I pray often for deliverance from the pain caused by my decision to abort my baby.

Obama's position on the question rejects her view.

When the Supreme Court, citing experiences like Kings, decided that a federal ban on partial-birth abortion would not violate the Constitution, Obama said he strongly disagreed with the court. Partial-birth abortion is the barbaric procedure in which a doctor kills a child with scissors while the child is being born. Obama vows to keep the practice legal.

Obama once described why he thinks abortion should be legal through all nine months of a womans pregnancy.

Whenever we define a pre-viable fetus as a person that is protected by the Equal Protection Clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what were really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a child, a 9-month old child that was delivered to term, he said. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place.

How could Obama be so opposed to the right to life? He may have let slip one reason at a March Town Hall meeting in Pennsylvania.

Look, Ive got two daughters, 9 years old and 6 years old, Obama said. If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.

He thinks unwanted children, by their very existence, are an unacceptable imposition.

/Accidental Infants/

This brings us to the next category of human being Obama says has no intrinsic right to life: Babies born accidentally while a doctor attempts to kill them by abortion.

This is a necessary consequence of Obamas embrace of abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy. Most of us know parents who have cared for preemies premature babies, born too soon. With the abortion industrys wide-scale attempts to kill American premies and nearly due children, some will be born alive accidentally.

Whistleblower Jill Stanek, a Chicago nurse, described the practice of killing babies in what is now known as live-birth abortion. Illinois tried to stop the practice. But in 2002, as state legislator there, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies who were accidentally born alive during attempts to abort them.

I could not bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone in a soiled utility room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived, Stanek told the U.S. Congress, describing one such case. He was too weak to move very much, expending any energy he had trying to breathe. Toward the end he was so quiet that I couldnt tell if he was still alive unless I held him up to the light to see if his heart was still beating through his chest wall.

After Staneks testimony even N.Y. Democrat Jerrold Nadler, who says he is as pro-choice as anybody on earth supported and spoke in favor of the bill.

But for the abortion industry and Obama, opposing the right to life has meant uncompromising dedication to a counter-principle. For Obama, protecting the unstated principle unwanted children do not have the right to life is the only way abortion can remain legal. That has led him to exclude another category of human being from the right to life: the unfit.

/Terri Schiavo/

In a recent debate, Obama said the vote he most regrets was his vote to save Terri Schiavos life. Her husband, Michael, wanted Terri dead, even though she was alert and responsive to nurses and family members. He had married again, had a new child with a new woman, and he wanted Terri dead.

When a judge granted his request, Congress and President Bush attempted to intervene to save her life, and not just to save her life, but to stop the dangerous precedent. They failed. Now Obama says they shouldnt have tried.

Thus, he started by rejecting the right to life of unwanted children and now rejects the right to life of an unwanted woman.

Obama not only opposes the right to life, his opposition is his highest priority. The first thing Id do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act, he told Planned Parenthood last July. That would make America more friendly to the abortion industry than any other country in the world.

/America's Creed/

The idea that there is a creed at the heart of America was best expressed by Abraham Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address. Four score and seven years ago, he said, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. He called the Civil War a test as to whether any nation, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.

America is still undergoing that test.

But, like a reverse Lincoln, a new man from Illinois seeks the presidency, one who is engaged in a battle /against/ the proposition that all men are created equal, and endowed by their Creator with the right to life.

The harm in 'harm reduction'
Margret Kopala

Health Minister Tony Clement recently announced new funding for drug treatment facilities in Vancouver but, understandably, he didn't comment on Insite because its future is now before the courts. Hearings over jurisdiction of Vancouver's safe injection facility concluded in a B.C. Supreme Court on May 7 and though a judgment is due in early June, appeals are probable, as is an injunction to keep the facility open past June 30 when its exemption under federal drug laws expires. Returning surplus to taxpayers is good policy
John Williamson

Following the Bank of Canadas downward revision of the countrys growth rate in 2008 there is alarm in some quarters the federal budget will soon tip from surplus to deficit. This anxiety is welcome because it signals a public consensus in Canada that did not exist 15 years ago when the norm was deficit financing. Today, voters take a dim view of any politician willing to run deficits, no matter how small. We are a nation of deficit hawks. Read more .

Demographic Winter: the decline of the human family
One of the most ominous events of modern times is quietly unfolding before our eyes.

Social scientists and economists are warning that we are headed toward a demographic crisis, the dangers of which are far more imminent than global warming and at least as severe. And yet, despite the overwhelming evidence, political correctness prevents policy-makers from even discussing the problem, let alone considering solutions.

Demographic Winter: the decline of the human family promises to blow the lid off of political correctness , explaining in chilling detail how this crisis has come about and what it means for the future.

Drawing on leading experts from around the world demographers, economists, sociologists, psychologists, parliamentarians and diplomats this ground-breaking documentary sheds light on how the deconstruction of the family has put the social and economic well-being of societies at risk.

Universally recognized to be the single most significant contributing factor to the increase in crime and poverty, it is now clear that the deconstruction of the family is also jeopardizing important social programs like pensions and health care. Meanwhile, in a desperate attempt to overcome the catastrophic reduction in birthrates, developed countries are adopting predatory immigration policies that threaten to shatter their own existing cultural consensus and undermine the economic and social progress of developing countries as well.

Demographic Winter: the decline of the human family relies exclusively on the vast body of scientific evidence collected by sociologists, demographers, economists and other experts to make its case, avoiding the pitfalls inherent in moral arguments. It is an absolute must have for anyone concerned about the future of the family, and the future of humanity itself.

6. CWA to Hold Press Conference Against Pornography

Contact: Natalie Bell, Media Coordinator, Concerned Women for America <http://www.cwfa.org/>, 202-488-7000 ext. 126

WASHINGTON, May 16 /Christian Newswire <http://www.christiannewswire.com/>/ -- Pornography continues to pollute our nation, filling the shelves of "adult" stores with raunchy DVDs and videos, and saturating our TVs and the Internet with filth. The U.S. Department of Justice's Obscenity Prosecution Task Force needs to crack down and enforce our federal obscenity laws with vigor.

Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America (CWA), said "Obscenity invades our public and private lives, a result of law enforcement officials choosing not to vigorously prosecute obscenity offenses. The Supreme Court has ruled that communities can decide what is appropriate, summarized in the famous definition, 'I know pornography when I see it.' Americans are not given the chance in their role as juries to uphold community standards if prosecutors refuse to bring charges. We can see the results of being dismissive of obscenity laws. Now it's time to see what can be accomplished by respecting the law. Our culture will thrive when boundaries of decency are in place. Children will be allowed to be innocent and women will not be as vulnerable to violence and degradation. What prosecutor would be against that?"

Dr. Janice Crouse, Director and Senior Fellow of CWA's Beverly LaHaye Institute, said "Obscenity and sex trafficking go hand-in-hand. We know that titillation only increases cravings and with some people the deviant images drive the viewer to become a predator. If there is demand for children to be used sexually, that demand will be met by ruthless traffickers. If a pedophile wants to travel to another country to abuse children, the trafficking networks help them find locations and victims. Many pimps and traffickers use pornography to initiate their victims into their life of sexual slavery. If we do not enforce obscenity laws stringently, the ripple effect it has on the rest of the culture leads to a tidal wave of degradation and destruction."

Matt Barber, Policy Director for Cultural Issues at CWA, said "The days of looking the other way are over. It's high time the welfare of families and children takes a greater priority within the Department of Justice than in previous years. The American people have spoken. The pornography plague on our culture can no longer be ignored. Federal obscenity laws are already on the books, they need only be enforced."h.h.w

7. Greetings from LifeIssues.net (www.lifeissues.net)

Dear Friends for Life,

The UK Reproductive Bill is called "Terrifying". The British Parliament is considering a bill that will allow for the creation of human-animal embryos. It also would abolish the requirement for a father for in vitro fertilization, allowing the screening of embryos for "serious medical conditions" and their creation as a source of genetically matched issue for treatment of siblings. More recently, its Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority has granted British scientists licenses to produce cloned human embryos, to create an embryo with two genetic mothers, to do eugenic "screening" of embryos; and to allow women to be able to donate their ova to research projects. A pro-life spokesperson called these proposals "terrifying."

Cloned Human Animal Hybrid Embryos have been created. Britain's Newcastle University has succeeded in creating a human-cow cloned embryo, which lived for three days in their labs. This occurred after the British government issued them a license to do this.

Stem Cells Help Alzheimer's: Alzheimer's disease has been thought to be totally resistant to treatment as it is a multi-cellular disease with multiple pathologic causes. Accordingly, a report at the University of South Florida in the journal, Stem Cells and Development, is extremely interesting. They gave low-dose infusions of human umbilical cord adult stem cells to mice with Alzheimer's like disease with some improvement. This is a very early study but let's pray that this is a start.

God Bless

Jerry Novotny, OMI

Thought: If people contemplate and really see the sanctity of life, their "quality of life" arguments fall away and they will understand that we are here to care for each other, not to kill each other. Caring, and not convenience, is the sign of a civilized and just society! -Ron Panzer

Outliving your offspring is an unbearable prospect, but the death of a child takes on an especially horrific dimension for many of the parents of child victims of the Sichuan earthquake, an edge of intolerable cruelty. Under the one-child policy, most families are limited to one child. The worst natural disaster to hit China in 30 years has brought the spotlight to bear on one of the country's most controversial policies of social engineering, and highlighted how this policy puts unbearable pressure on many families in contemporary China.

ITEM #8. Do Embryos Have Souls?

Some scientists and philosophers will attempt to argue that if an early embryo might not yet have received its immortal soul from God, it must be OK to destroy that embryo for research since he or she would not yet be a person. But it would actually be the reverse; that is to say, it would be more immoral to destroy an embryo that had not yet received an immortal soul than to destroy an ensouled embryo. Why? Because the immortal soul is the principle by which that person could come to an eternal destiny with God in heaven, so the one who destroyed the embryo, in this scenario, would preclude that young human from ever receiving an immortal soul (or becoming a person) and making his or her way to God.

This would be the gravest of evils, as the stem cell researcher would forcibly derail the entire eternal design of God over that unique and unrepeatable person, via an action that would be, in some sense, worse than murder. The human person, then, even in his or her most incipient form as an embryonic human being, must always be safeguarded in an absolute and unconditional way, and speculation about the timing of personhood cannot alter this fundamental truth.

This quite simply is abhorrent to us as Catholic Christians and consequently we wanted to draw the attention of our people to this aspect of the bill at the very beginning."

The clip also shows the cardinal denying he is against scientific research and he reveals he has agreed to become an organ donor. He adds: "Let me state very clearly, that I am not against medical science or research into aspects of seeking cures for these terrible disease which affect so many of us

ITEM #12. Miss. Supreme Court To Hear Hospice Overdose Case

COMMENT: This reporter has been covering the case of a women who was sent to hospice on the "diagnosis" of cancer, and when an autopsy was later done, it was found she had no cancer. She died of an overdose of Dilaudid, an opioid medication which acts somewhat like morphine. I spoke with the reporter last week and provided him with background information on hospice, opioids and what is going on in our nation.

Intentionally misdiagnosing a patient with a bogus label such as "cancer" is a common ploy used in order to get a patient into hospice, and then killed. What happened in this case is not known. why the patient was wrongly labeled as having cancer is the real question. And we have jad many complaints over the years of patients who did NOT have cancer who were labeled as having cancer, sent to hospice, who died shortly after entering hospice, and then autopsies showed no cancer.

Obviously, in any case, the hospice does not diagnose patients and must rely on the diagnosis from the experts.

Pain which is not well-managed with an opioid may respond to other medications, such as anti-spasmodic medications (if pain is due to severe intestinal cramping/spasms. I have seen cases where morphine did nothing for pain, and nurses were just raising the dose up and up. I called the doctor for an order of an antispasmodic and once administered, the pain subsided within 20 minutes! No morphine was needed at all.

Good clinical judgment is necessary to provide appropriate care. Opioids are not always the best for all types of pain and every good hospice nurse knows that. Simply increasing dosages of the wrong medication obviously does no good, and can cause death.

Why the patient was given a diagnosis of cancer when there was no evidence to support that is the real issue. But the case is ongoing. We will have to watch this to see what happens.

8.Good News: Adult Stem Cells Save Athlete from Amputation

In March, Andre Lampkin, 20, was facing the amputation of his legs and arms. But an experimental treatment using his own stem cells to stimulate tissue growth is giving the former wide receiver hope after meningitis damaged his limbs.

The Star-Telegram of Fort Worth, Texas, reported that two weeks after treatment, the soles of his feet and palms of his hands are softening, his circulation has improved and his right foot is moving.

Dr. Zannos Grekos conducted the experimental treatment in the Dominican Republic because it is not approved in the U.S.

"It looks like we have already saved his legs and arms," Grekos told the Star-Telegram. "Now we're hoping to save most of each foot and his hands."

Grekos also has used adult stem cells to treat patients for cardiovascular, lung and kidney problems.

New Book From Steve Mosher Explodes the Pro-Abortion Myth of Overpopulation

by Colin Mason
April 29, 2008

LifeNews.com Note: Colin Mason is the director of media production for the Population Research Institute, an organization that tracks population issues and monitors abortion and demographics on an international scale.

As the very first line of Steven Mosher's latest book reads, we have all grown up "on a poisonous diet of overpopulation propaganda."

Mosher's book, Population Control-Real Costs, Illusory Benefits, is, first and foremost, an answer to the allegation that the human race is inexorably multiplying, hell-bent toward a giant demographic cliff like so many lemmings.

The numbers show that the world is not, has never been, nor ever shall be, overpopulated. In fact, according to the world's experts -- even the ones advocating population control -- birthrates around the world are dropping at a precipitous rate.

The book thus torpedoes the lifeboat scenario, which argued that in order to survive, we had to throw some of the earth's passengers overboard.

But it is much more than this. The history of the population control movement is replete with human rights abuses. Those who were made to walk the plank of abortion, sterilization, and contraception -- all for the supposed good of humanity -- have some horrific tales to tell.

The first chapters of Mosher's book describe the history of the population control movement, and how it is has never been the scientific, intelligent or cultural phenomenon it styles itself to be.

Rather, this movement was started and sustained by figures like Thomas Malthus, Margaret Sanger, John D. Rockefeller, and Hugh Moore, who led a contentious movement dominated by cultural elitism, racial hysteria and ignorance. As Mosher pointedly argues, their legacy has cost millions their lives and tens of millions more their basic rights.

"Human rights are nonnegotiable, or they are not rights at all," contends Mosher. "Abuses of basic rights, such as the right to bear children, cannot be expunged by reference to any calculus of costs versus benefits, any more than comparable violations of other basic human rights can be explained away, excused, or justified by reference to a supposedly larger social good."

The book explains exactly how the population control movement continues to violate these basic rights, in the pursuit for a false "good" -- fewer children.

Population Control-Real Costs, Illusory Benefits is, first and foremost, an answer to the allegation that the human race is inexorably multiplying.

Mosher lays out the China Model, based on China's one-child policy, and how population programs everywhere draw on its tactics. Nigeria provides an apt case study of how Western population controllers continue to strong-arm national governments into implementing abusive policies, policies that undermine the basic rights and freedoms of their people.

But the population controllers not only run roughshod over human rights for the sake of the supposed "greater good" of population decline (the chapter "Human Rights and Reproductive Wrongs includes a detailed, annotated list of human rights abuses perpetuated in the name of population control), they also sap primary health care programs and marginalize real health needs.

For example, because of the time and money wasted on unwanted and unnecessary contraceptives and abortifacient devices, malaria runs rampant in Africa. Developing countries end up with thousands of health clinics that literally carry nothing but contraceptives while people die from treatable diseases.

Neither do population control programs provide any real benefits.

Its "benefits" are mere illusions designed to dupe developing nations into submitting to an elitist, western agenda. Population control, writes Mosher, is just that: control. Organizations like the UNFPA, far from being "here to help," have in fact been bearers of death to our less developed neighbors.

Population Control does not simply outline the problems; it proposes a solution as well. Mosher dedicates his final chapter to possible ways that developed nations can avoid the demographic disaster that now threatens. Small tax credits and paltry child subsidies are not nearly enough. Young couples, he argues, need to be sheltered from taxes altogether. And population control programs needed to be ended as soon as possible.

Mosher ends by quoting the late Julian Simon: Human beings are the ultimate resource."

Pregnancy Resource Group Asks High Court to Encourage Doctors to be Honest with Patients Considering Abortion

Contact: Virginia A. Cline, Heartbeat International, 614-885-7577

COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 19 /Christian Newswire/ -- Heartbeat International joins a "friend of the court" brief in support of Rosa Acuna's petition. On Friday, Acuna's attorney Harold Cassidy filed a petition asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse the egregious New Jersey Supreme Court decision in the case of Rosa Acuna v. Sheldon C. Turkish, MD.

"As an association dedicated to helping women, we call on the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse the New Jersey Court's precedent and to require abortionists to provide medically accurate details about the gestational development of a human baby," said Heartbeat International President Peggy Hartshorn, Ph.D. "The facts are a baby's heart begins beating at 21 days and brain waves can be measured at six weeks. Women deserve the truth."

With Acuna v. Turkish, the New Jersey High Court set the legal precedent that a doctor can legally deceive a woman considering abortion. The ruling held that a doctor who performs an abortion has no responsibility to present precise biological information to a woman about her unborn child or the abortion procedure risks.

"When a woman comes into a Heartbeat center seeking abortion information, she wants to know what is happening with and in her body. We tell her about abortion procedures and show her fetal models or pictures of fetal development," said Hartshorn. "A doctor should have the responsibility of explaining human development to his patient. She has a right to be fully informed before she submits to an abortion procedure. The woman's health risks increase without this information."

Turkish told Rosa Acuna that she should not "be stupid" because the only thing being removed was "just blood." Turkish testified that he routinely tells women it is "just some tissue." By any standard these statements are false and misleading.

Heartbeat International and its affiliates advocate for the safe reproductive health and well-being of women. Abortion is not a medical "treatment" that can improve a woman's health. Women seen in Heartbeat's pregnancy centers testify daily to the painful physical and emotional effects of abortion.

Heartbeat International, founded in 1971, is an interdenominational Christian association of nearly 1,100 pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, non-profit adoption agencies, and medical clinics in 48 states and 42 countries. Heartbeat provides www.OptionLine.org (800-395-HELP), a joint venture with Care Net, to connect callers with a local pregnancy center for the help they need. Each month our national call center responds to approximately 20,000 contacts.
